Autoglym Best in Scene: Modified Live, Oulton Park
« on: February 19, 2009, 04:36:27 PM »
After the great success of Modified Live last year at Snetterton , we've made 09' a two part deal, the first at Oulton on 25 April and the last at Snetterton in 11 October.

Autoglym step up and take over the polishing side of things with a brand spanking new competition 'Best in Scene'.  The show and shine has been turned upside down, shook about and
turned into an inspiring competition with prizes & cred for grabs, polishers and car nuts from all over the country will be fighting it out to take the top trophy & prizes

With so many different trends, styles and tastes in the UK right now 'Best in Scene' will take these show cars, break them down into categories where they will get the attention & the credit they deserve in their own right.  As well as a cash prize for the best car of the whole show, a trophy will be awarded to the 'Best in Scene' in each of the following categories:-

DUB - Big rims, Big Bling, USA based styling and ICE.

EURO - Euro Style all the way, smooth bodywork, subtle styling, small rims, stretched rubber.

JDM - Pure JDM heaven, Tokyo style.

OEM - How clean is clean, factory standard OEM, straight out the showroom type cars.

RETRO / CLASSIC - Pre 93 Retro rides, Old skool, Retro Ford or even a classic.

UK HERE & NOW - Representing what’s hot and happening in the UK right now, full on hot body styling, ear popping ICE, trick paint, this is you.

UK FUTURE - Trend setting mould breaking future visions.

LOWRIDERS - Low riding Yank tanks rolling double low to the black stuff with a bounce.

For details on how to enter please contact pippa@modifiedlive.co.uk.

I wondered what you would post................
blatant but relevant so thats OK.

To get more response from people here you need top alter your description of "lowriders".
The number of Yanks type Los in UK is limited and those that there are are VERY valuable and so dont get moved a lot [not a critisicm of anyone!!]

There are  a load of good UK based cars around that will put on a show   ;D

Apologies if the desciption causes offence  :-[  Not intended at all.  We already have some Lowriders interested and it would be really good to have a display of them as it is so rare to see them at events outside your own scene.

People are always amazed at what these cars can do - mainly because all they have ever seen are modified cars on air suspension that barely moves!

This competition has been created to be a bit different, I hope your members will consider it.

It doesnt say whether its £20/car or £20 each. A bit far for me to go for a day ,THEN have to pay £40 to wreck the suspension!!!lol!
