B2000 rear. Bag or juice?
« on: March 20, 2009, 01:24:53 PM »
Right so I'm picking up a B2000 at the weekend. It's got a single pump juice set up to the front, and apparently just lowering blocks on the rear.

Obviously a truck is only cool if you can lay frame and cover the place in sparks, so I need to dump the rear some how.

Now the question is, do I attatch some rams and add to the juice, or ditch it all and bag it. I've not seen many juiced trucks, always bags - is there a reason for that? I'm gonna need to notch the rails for both.

Also, I've worked with a juiced car before so I understand it a bit better, but if someone could give me a quick rundown on what does what with an airbag system, that'd be cool.
I understand you've got bags instead of springs, and a compressor and tank - but not sure what happens inbetween with vailves and controlling them.

you could just add another dump vave to juice the rear

BUT
while you would have front back seperate control you would hav nothing to control the flow side to side so it would handle like a pig.
So if you want anything you pretty much need a new system.

a-arms and leafs I think, so bags wpuld be straight forward [leafs will need de-arching or stripping to one leaf if there is a strong wnough one]

controling i really the same with juice or air.

[i'll put something up in the how to section]
Most things improve with age................

Nice one dudes. I'm not bothered about notching the chassis, it's a simple enough task on a truck and it NEEDS to lay frame haha.

Hi there, I also have a B2000 and like you I'm interested in dropping the rear to drag it!
I have a two pump system on mine so I am half way there I just need to do the chassis work, Is there any pictures of your work yet? If you have could you post them so I can see the work please.
