All my hydraulics for sale + loads of other stuff
« on: August 09, 2009, 09:39:36 PM »
Thought long and hard about this, but that's it guys, I'm out.

I've had some bad luck with cars recently, and am utterly fed up with old Mercs. I've got three of the damn things on the drive and none of them work.

I'm selling everything to hopefully raise enough folding to actually buy a nice car. You know, one that works!

OK, I have 2 Chrome CCE competition pumps for sale. They have No.11 heads, so they are not your everyday cheapies. I was getting impressive air with dampers on the Merc. They are in good cosmetic/working condition. They come with all the valves/retrurns, braided return hoses and slowdowns. Just add hoses, rams, batteries and switches. Offers?

As installed in the Benz

I have all sorts of other stuff for sale. Powder chrome battery trays. 6 inch rams (some chrome), 8 inch rams (some new I think), loads of hoses, top hats, donuts, valves, manual lockoffs, switch box, switches (3/6/12 prong) Accurate solenoids (some new ones) battery terminals and cables, loads of connector/adaptors. Yadaa yadaa. Haven't been out to look for a while, so not entirely sure what is out there. Actual batteries have been sat around and are probably no good by now.
Again, let me know what you want, and we'll agree a price. I'm not after silly money for any of it, but obviously don't insult me!

I would certainly prefer to agree a 'job lot' price. If anyone is interested in that, I'll go out a catalogue everything properly.

All in all 15 years worth of stuff/parts/spares taking up space.

Putting this ad up now, as I can bring any stuff to Retro Rides next weekend.

End of an era gents, sorry.

p.s. I also have several broken w140 s-classes for sale (and a barn full of spares), MX5 running gear and other good stuff, road legal slicks (yes, I ended up with them!), several very good colour laser printers (HP laserjet 2600, £50 each).. what else... oh, a Merc first-gear-start module.

Oh, one final thing, the Lordz plaque is not for sale and will be bolted to the barn wall.  ;;*

No way Christoff... sorry to hear you are having car trouble.  Hope you get something interesting, or is it time for a Renault Megane?

Renault Megane... how rude! No David, I said something nice! ;)

I love the w140. I've had four of them and they truly are wonderful cars. Trouble is, I've always bought them on the cheap, so they always have something wrong with them. I am going wait until I find a one/two owner with FMBSH and under 100k miles. Preferably a 97-99 S500 limo, dark in colour, plenty of options and beige or black leather. They are out there, I just need to be patient...  ;;*

Bloody hell that was quick Chris. It's a shame you're emptying the shed of hydraulic mess. We all get brassed off....... hope you eventually build another low-low. I say go for a Ronin S class.

Thanks mate.

you sure you want 8's on T4 ?

have you checked the travel at the point where the cyl will be mounted, from memory it is fairly inboard on that so cyl travel will be a lot less then wheel travel. if you go too long you will pop ball joints or limit drop
