Helppp problem accumlators!!!!!!
« on: February 18, 2010, 06:21:16 PM »
Rite ive got a problem hope you can help!!!!

got 2 brand new accumlators from FCH lovely!!

Got them on the car and ive run into a problem

when the REAR accumlator is in ( rear is split 2 rams 1 accum) the back is as it should be quite soft !

when the FRONT accumlator is in ( front is also split 2 rams 1 accum) its as solid as a rock?

Logically youd say "swop the rear with the front " allready tried that

When i swop the accumlators around the whole car becomes as solid as a rock ! no movment in the suspension!!!!

Anyideas????

Seat ibiza 40bar they were charged to

front = front accum - not working

rear = rear accum - working

Front = rear accum - not working

rear = front accum - not working

Swop them back its the same :

front = front accum - not working

rear = rear accum - working

Have you got shut off valves fitted to turn the accumulators off? Ifso are they opening fully?

have you set the pressures after fitting......................................
I've lost track of the number of times I've explained that on the forum.

have you sorted this?
the effective pressures in the front and back of your system will be very different so the acc pressure required will also be different. Swapping them just shows this rather than showing something wrong..............
