its the WTF that look wrong to me as well Andy but i think now its maybe just the way they look..............your 1/4 fitting looks the same size as the barrell nipple in the pic.

The 1/4 BSP fitting has a dowty on it which makes it look bigger but you can see the internal taper which distinguishes it from the JIC

Right, i snapped some pics of the joints, everything internally has 1/4" bore, ive double checked, defo not not 3/8", the hoses fit both ends of the fittings, i am about to order the hoses i need x8 to complete the system (all JIC fittings), i am however gonna need someone to come and help me wire it in...

as billy said 9/16 JIC fittings have a 7mm bore........... thats what you want.
1/4 bsp goes with 1/4" bore hose but the fittings have a bore about 5mm.

you want 3/8 hose (as you already have\0 and 9/16 JIC fiftings and hose couplers

Well this is getting very confusing, wish i hadnt bothered now.... :(  5mm yes (approx) on everything, im confused as to why the US supplied kit came with everything at 5mm bore if you guys are saying otherwise... are you suggesting this WONT work then...??

The long US hoses you already have are 3/8R2AT [may have a different nomenclature being American but that's what they are]. The fittings on those hoses are 9/16 JIC.
All extra hoses you get want to be the same as these.........  that hose size and fitting combination is optimised.
Maintain all extra fittings a JIC [same as on your US dumps].

The only fittings that I cant identify for sure are the male fittings either end of the tees on your acc lock offs............. that may be just cos of camera angle, if they are 9/16 JIC then ALL is ok.

its this internal bore which is concerning me, they all have this 5mm diameter bore across everything, if this is ok, then imm not going to worry at this stage (defo not 7mm as mentioned above)

I have a 9/16 fitting in my hand.............. the bore is 7mm.
The external thread dia is 14mm just to confirm that you have 9/16.

I also have a 9/16 right angle hose fitting , the bore on that is 5mm BUT that is down to the tube that forms the bend.

Rus, if you have 9/16 [14mm across the thread] then you have the right stuff.  It may be that you have a few adaptor fittings that have a smaller bore for some reason but these can be changed later..............

[an adaptor that goes from 9/16 JIC to 1/4 BSP WILL have smaller bore than one that goes from 9/16 JIC to 3/8 BSP, as you said somewhere there is no point in being larger than the smaller size in a system. IF your acc valve fittings go down from 3/8 (assuming that is what the blocks are) then that could be why you have a smaller bore there]

to simplify, ive simply been looking at the bore size as opposed to fitting size to be honest as thats the area the fluid moves through, im still cock about face (is that a phrase??) (Little Gray would know ;) )about the technical stuff reference thread size and all.... :)

i suspect you have nothing to worry about Rus. it's just unfamiliar terminology that's confused things.  :)
