Silly-ish Question

rite .. i was clearing  out my garage today and i come accross a set of standad VW shocks and it got me thinking.....

could i  port it and use it like a hydraulic ram??

please refrain from taking the piss... i was curious?!?! :-\

defo not, the pressures involved with hydraulics would blow then to bits!! it would cost more to convert something like that that buy an off-the-shelf ram... carry on tidying... :)
