Electrics
« on: March 31, 2010, 09:21:01 AM »
Not sure what to post here?
I put up a switch box or switches post a bit ago and  no one was interested in either................

You will get 3 and 6 pole switched on Ebay. IF you want 12's you will have to get then from US
OR
go to mini switches and relays, these are easily available on the Bay but you will get small toggles on them.

Solenoids.......... you want Accumax and will have to get them from US [or someone who has bought a box in like JonS has].
DON'T bother with anything else.

the weight makes it only worth buying locally.
Get good quality standard starter batteries..... not deep cycle or gel.
643 or 644 is a standard truck/tractor size so readily available.

just a note................
70mm may seem a bit over the top

and its is a bit  :o

BUT think of the cost and buggeration involved in burnt out solenoids, motors or ultimatly a fire
The point of correct sized cable/connectors/good clean earths/multiple solenoids is to reduce any avenue for voltage drop [and so current rise]. The extra £'s for heavier cable is nothing compared to what it might save.
