pumps mount on the bar in the middle.....sols on both sides ... hence the 4 bolts.... and the d/c earth is the bolt that hold the bar on ?? am i doing something wrong?

that cable looks like thick strand domestic power cable to me ?

how many strands of copper ?

at a guess that is 35mm, maybe 50
70mm is what you should use to guarantee no voltage drop, that has around 600 strands of 0.26mm wire.

check the capacity of the one you have, you need one of around 450amps to be sure it is not restricting your system speed

179 strands and its 9.56mm thick including the rubber casing !
