Hard ride
« on: February 26, 2007, 10:20:34 PM »
The ride in the BM is pretty harsh even with the acc's switched on. They definately work because it's fast and responsive with the leccy shut-offs on "crunchy" and slow and boaty on "smooth".

I can remeber talk on here of letting some of the Nitrogen out of the acc's to get a better ride but i want to check with those in the know before i tamper with them. The top of the acc's have got what looks like an allen bolt/plug in them instead of a valve.   :?  :?   :)

thats it chops you've got it...just let some pressure out via the grub screw, but do it very slowly, you let to much out and you'll be in need of a recharge.

-slam it
-raise it to ride height(make sure you are on smooth)
-let a little pressure out of acc... the car will start to drop... dont let it drop to far no more than inch
-tighten grub screw
-take for a spin see how it feels

when i did them on blue one of the rams stuck, so i was waiting for the arch to stop dropping and nothing happened, let more pressure out and still nothing... let more out,the ram unstuck its self and dropped about 15cm and i was left with no suspension on that corner and had to go for a recharge :(... take your time and don't do all four in one go do the frts and then backs.
