From side to side to front and back.
« on: April 08, 2007, 10:57:24 AM »
Hello again!

My 2 pump system currently pumps up a side each, but if I want front and back seesaw instead, can I simply change the hoses around from the pumps?   (obviously covering myself in hydraulic fluid while I do it!)

Thanks guys!

if you do change the pumps over the chances are you will lose the ability to chip,, as you will only have one pump powering the front and one to the rear.......in my personal opinion i reckon that car could do with some proper switches plumbing in......me mate dave never did fully master those joysticky thingys....

Yeah, agreed...  I'll probably try the switches first, as per my other post you saw afterwards, and then go from there...

Thank very muchio!

Don't do it mate, you'll regret it.
I've got front to back on the BM and as soon as i get time, I'm going to re-wire and re-plumb for side to side so i can get panic and better chippin'.
Those joysticks always looked a bit fiddly when Davis had it, just go for a new switch box and you'll be all set 8)  :)

Thanks dude.   You're right though, I'm not gonna change the set up, just wire in some decent switches when I have the time and money.

I'm not fussed on the pre-wired boxes, so I'm currently looking into different boxes and switches, but switches are like gold dust or dead expensive.

The beauty of a pre-wired box is you get everything you need in one go with no pissing about trying to find the stuff yourself but then i'm lazy  :D

I'm with him! But then I like just having my dash switches to :)
Also, essee there is nothing stopping you buying a pre-wired box and rehousing it. I've got a spare unused one the same as the black one here-

if you're interested pm me
